The Best Grapes are Green: Kendall-Jackson and Net Impact Join Forces

Since 1982, Kendall-Jackson has been celebrated for crafting consistent, quality wines from California’s greatest cool, coastal mountains, ridges and benchland vineyards – so ubiquitous that our Vintner’s Reserve has been the number one selling Chardonnay for the past 25 years running; well worthy of the moniker “America’s favorite Chardonnay.”

We’re a pioneering force for sustainability in the wine industry, which is why we’re excited to collaborate with Net Impact, a global community of graduate students and professionals working to advance sustainability solutions in the business sector. Together, we created a marketing case competition to harness the ideas and energy of budding global impact professionals, with the grand prize of a paid trip to our wine country headquarters. Two members of the winning team will win paid summer 2018 internships at Kendall-Jackson.

The Kendall-Jackson team launched the first round of the challenge at Net Impact’s annual conference last weekend in Atlanta, GA. We’re inviting Net Impact chapters around the world to tell us what’s working (and what’s not) about how we share the story of Kendall-Jackson with young professionals. In early December, we’ll work with Net Impact to select our semi-finalist teams.

In the semi-final round, the teams will create 12-month innovative marketing campaigns based on their research conducted in round one and some additional assessment of the marketplace, including partnerships, events, package ideas, etc. The semi-final challenge due date will be in late February.

We’ll roll up our sleeves and spend the beginning of March poring over these marketing plans. We’ll announce three finalists in March, and will fly them out to our offices in Sonoma County to pitch their ideas in person in our final round. From this group, we’ll choose two rock stars for a paid 2018 summer internship helping put their ideas into practice.

We can’t wait to see what the teams come up with, and we look forward to welcoming two hardworking winners to our offices next summer.
