Meet Robert Boller

We’re happy to introduce you to Robert — the guy who helps makes our red and white wines “green.”  Robert runs the sustainability program for Kendall-Jackson and began developing our corporate responsibility program in the fall of 2008.

Robert got into the wine biz in 1989 when he came to California on vacation from NYC and never looked back!  Since then he’s split his time evenly between sales, marketing and operations. After joining Kendall-Jackson in 2002 to run one of our marketing divisions he jumped at the chance to spend more time outdoors while managing our Santa Barbara vineyards, winery and cattle ranch.

He’s a backcountry camping enthusiast and is passionate about maintaining our natural environment.  One experience that brought it all together for him was a solo trip at the top of a 14,000 foot mountain.  “I hadn’t seen any people or signs of humanity in four days and there at the summit was a deflated, red balloon” said Robert.  “Looking across the peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains it became clear — even the small things we do at home are beginning to have an effect we don’t see.”

Robert and his wife Caroline are back in Sonoma and when he’s not busy playing with their very “energetic” one and three year-old boys, he’s pursuing his other passion — cooking!
