2009 Harvest

The 2009 harvest was quite good, both out in the vineyards and here at the winery. The fruit enjoyed an extended "hang time" on the vine, maturing slowly in the mild weather and developing rich varietal character while maintaining great structure. While a few of our Pinot Noir vineyards came in a bit earlier than expected, for the most part harvest progressed at a nice, even pace throughout September and October. The last grapes were harvested quickly as the first rains arrived mid-October. Overall, quality looks very good for this vintage.
