Title:  Post Harvest Steps

When harvest is over, what steps will vineyard managers take to prepare the vines for the next vintage?

Checking the specific nutrient needs of a vineyard is one of the first steps taken after harvest. Vineyard managers collect soil samples that are analyzed in a lab, where mineral deficiencies and pH imbalances are identified.  The vineyard managers can then develop a customized fertilization program to address the specific needs of the vineyard, and provide the vines the best chance for healthy growth in the following year.
