Cabernet Sauvignon

2013

Aromas of lush black cherry, blackberry and cassis draw you in to this Vintner's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Round and rich tannins provide a robust backbone and supple mid-palate. Notes of cedar, vanilla and a hint of mocha linger on the finish.

90 points, James Laube, Wine Spectator, Jun 2016
"Drinks clean and easy, yet offers substance and depth. An elegant style, supple and graceful, with tender plum, currant and blackberry notes shaded by licorice, light earth and oak."

Winemaking

Aged 8 months in French (65%) and American (35%) oak barrels for a wine that is rich and round. Artisan winemaking techniques, such as cold soaking and extended maceration were used to enhance and simultaneously soften the tannins, deepen the color and intensify the flavors.

Vineyards

Sonoma County mountain and hillside vineyards add black cherry flavors and superb wine structure. Mendocino County mountain vineyards impart wild blackberry, cassis and cedar flavors. Napa County mountain vineyards deliver roundness and rich tannins.
