Grand Reserve Santa Barbara County Grenache / Syrah / Mourvèdre 2016
Red currant and mixed wild cherry flavors with background notes of chocolate and cedar box. The Grand Reserve Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre wine is smooth and the chalky tannins are refined and elegant through the lengthy finish.
Aged 15 months in 96% French oak (23% new) and 4% old American oak. Pre-fermentation cold-soak adds layers of complexity by extracting a silkier tannin profile along with open-top fermentation for enhanced, softer tannins; delestage as needed.
