Jackson Estate Fulton Ranch Chardonnay 2018
Located in the Russian River Valley, the Fulton Ranch vineyard surrounds the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens. The site benefits from the region’s famously warm days and cool nights, with majestic blankets of fog making a daily appearance to preserve natural acidity in the grapes. The array of well-drained sand and gravel soils make this an exceptional vineyard for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir alike. Toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, and crème brulee complement the notes of orange peel, papaya, and baked apples, leading into a long, soft finish.

The 2017 Jackson Estate Fulton Ranch Chardonnay was barrel fermented and aged nine months in 29% new French oak. It opens to saline, crushed shell and quince peel with a core of white peach, toast, almonds and citrus blossom. The palate is medium-bodied and silky with restrained fruits that blossom into nutty and honeyed nuances, finishing long and refreshing.
