This is a grown-up wine that offers more than simply fruit or oak and boasts a good, moderately tannic texture that’s quite appetizing. It develops nice complexity on the palate, showing blackberry, black pepper and a touch of tobacco.
Winemaking
This wine was aged 8 months in French and American oak, 12% new.
Vineyards
Vineyards are mostly older, if not historic, and dry farmed with well established root systems and low yields. Grapes are harvested from fractured rock and gravelly loam soils with great drainage, showcasing their full potential of great fruit and chalky tannins.
