Update from the Vineyard with Winemaker Matt
Last week I gave a quick update about the unseasonable weather we’ve been having in Sonoma County and how it’s affecting the grapes. Our sustained temperatures above 100 will also kill mildew. The clusters are still expanding as berries size up and are not closed where moisture could be trapped. The ground is quickly drying out, so humidity levels are dropping as well. The good news: this high heat in our region will take care of the mildew.
